A Brief Catch-Up

Hi everyone! I’m afraid to admit that I haven’t blogged since last October, mostly because of getting too caught up in my first year of uni. With everything so hectic, blogging went under the radar, but now I’ve broken up for summer, I decided it was time to give it another go! The plan is to blog at least two times a week, including during my second year of uni as I now have a bit more of an idea of the work load and how to plan it all! But for now, I decided I would do a quick catch-up of what’s been going on in my life since I stopped, before getting properly back into the routine!

As I just said, I’ve just finished my first year at Warwick, and it’s been pretty fantastic! Although it got off to a slightly rocky start, with me not getting along amazingly with my flat mates, I’ve managed to meet some pretty fantastic people. As well as that, I absolutely love my course (English Literature), so the extra work for that isn’t too much of a big deal! I love where Warwick is placed as well, not being too far away from home – meaning Gareth could visit every weekend – as well as being just under half an hour away from Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa (where I will be living next year!) The closeness to Stratford has also meant it’s been pretty easy going to see shows at the RSC and I’ve managed to get there to see both Doctor Faustus and Hamlet this year!

Just after finishing first year, Gareth and I decided to make a trip to Lake Bled in Slovenia, which might just be my favourite place I’ve visited so far! It felt as though the lake was taken out of a fairy-tale and Slovenia as a whole was beautiful! As well as visiting the lake, we decided to go on an adventure day which involved exploring Triglav National Park and white water rafting, so expect posts on it all soon!

Turning 20:

Back in April I turned 20, which felt like a pretty big thing to me! My birthday itself was fantastic, with a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Doctor Faustus (which was crazily good!). It also got me thinking more about what I want to do in the future, so expect more of that to come to!

What have you guys been up to lately? 🙂
